Qualifications and Experience

Bryna is a trained and experienced Mediator as well as a Licensed Psychotherapist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She has mediated over one thousand divorces and separations.

Education:

• M.S.S.A., Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio
• B.A. Psychology, Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts

Licensure:

• LICSW, Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• LICSW, State of Rhode Island
• Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work

Experience:

Bryna has been practicing since 1976, counseling individuals, couples and families, and providing mediation to divorcing couples.  She has trained and supervised mediators and conducted divorce support groups.

From 1976 to 1987 Bryna was a clinican/private practitioner at the Jewish Family Service in Cleveland, Ohio, where she developed and served as the Director of Divorce Mediation Service. 

Her experience includes serving as Director of Professional Services at the Jewish Family Service, Providence, Rhode Island from 1987 to 1992.  Bryna was also a clinical instructor in Social Work for Boston College Graduate School of Social Work.

Bryna was a co-founder of the Rhode Island Council of Family Mediators, served as President in 1998, and developed and taught the forty-hour Divorce Mediation Training Program at Roger Williams University, Providence, Rhode Island.
